Niger Delta militants issue another deadly warning
Delta- The Niger Delta Greenland Justice Mandate (NDGM) has vowed to blow up more oil installations, if government does not meet its demand for inclusion in negotiations with other militant groups, Guardian reports.
Spokesman of the group, one General Aldo Agbalaja, said the destruction of a delivery trunk line from Isoko to the Eriemu Manifold, belonging to the NPDC/Shoreline Resources, was a tip of the iceberg in its “operation zero” exercise.
Agalaja said: “This is just a glimpse of what is to come. There are several assets already penned down for destruction. This line of action has been made inevitable by an unjust system, which only responds to the violent, to the detriment of the peaceful and law-abiding.”
Meanwhile, the management of the National Petroleum Development Company (NPDC) said, yesterday, that it had shut down the section of the affected facility to avoid spillage. A senior manager of the NPDC, who does not want his name disclosed, said the company was in the process of determining the extent of damage.
He said the pipelines were empty when they were hit because militants had earlier blown up the main feeder line from Forcados. The militants warned the operators of the NPDC not to commence repairs, as “the inevitable may occur to their personnel.”

Protesters also continued to block the entrance to a Chevron oil depot in the restive southern region for a third day.
On Wednesday, a previously unknown group called Delta Greenland Justice Mandate said it had attacked a crude pipeline belonging to state oil firm NNPC and local firm Shoreline Natural Resources in Urhobo in Delta state.
