Nigeria Is The Only Country In The World, Piracy Doesn’t Exist Says D’Banj
Dapo Oyebanjo popularly known as D’banj in his over 10-years experience in the Nigerian music industry, has declared that the nation is the only country in the world, PIRACY doesn’t exist.
The ‘Mobolowonwo‘ crooner, made this revelation the inaugural edition of Music Week Africa, which held at the Nigerian Stock Exchange, Lagos, on Thursday.
On his reason for saying this, the singer noted that what ever is happening in Alaba international market can’t exactly be termed as piracy because both original and supposed pirated works are sold together.
“Nigeria is the only country in the world that does not have piracy,” he said emphatically.
“As far as I’m concerned, I’ve never been prated because it’s the same place they are selling original that they are selling the fake CDs.”
On which is more successful commercially, e-sales of music and physical sales, D’banj said :
“The money is everywhere. Everyone is playing their own role. The market is here”.
The singer, further added that his partnership with SLOT requires that they have CD stands situated at their phone outlets.
